The Beginning
A helmet, a book and plenty of attitude to go with it, that was the calling post The Spell at that tender age. The helmet came naturally but the book, well that was another story all together. Lets just say at that age, there was only one place you carried 'a book' to and that was just out of the sheer necessity needed at that point. Nothing else.
The Spell just got stronger and stronger, as a result the desire to do more under this spell grew further every day. Soon the spell grew so strong, it was impossible to break free from it. Not a cure in sight nor another spell to break or alter the perception. But this could not be called slavery to the spell, nor could it be called succumbing the power of the spell.
The End
What it had changed to, was beyond his understanding at first, but soon he realized what it was making him do and think. But never once did he question this power, never once did he question the desire that was growing within him day by day. All that he could do was grow with this power, as it grew within him.
The Beginning
Addiction, that is what it had become. One that was so strong that he didn't even realize when he go hooked. Like a druggie waiting for his next ounce to take him places, this was a totally legal addiction that took him places, literally and figuratively. Any opportunity was excuse enough to get back to this addiction ever so often. Even if it meant it took him to places for no such purpose or sense, he took every opportunity. From near to far, no place seemed too far away. People thought this addiction would be the end of him but just like anyone like him at that age, he chose not to listen. And for a change that did him well. Like a direct shot to the brain, he went oblivious to the world around him every single time he indulged in this Addiction.
There came a time when he had to disassociate himself from the addiction and one can only imagine the withdrawal symptoms that followed. Despite the odds, the addiction was the most difficult to let go off and after a rather painfully long duration of rehab (literally, for his body needed it) the addiction could fade away quietly into the dark. So here he was again, back hand in hand with his Addiction, only this time around caution was the new lesson learnt.
The End
